Who we are

Boutique accounting advisory, built around the hard questions

Corviniti is a CPA-led advisory firm for startups, emerging growth companies, and the transactions they run: initial public offerings, SPAC combinations, direct listings, mergers and acquisitions, and the SEC reporting that follows. We work in the areas where judgment and interpretation matter most, and where getting it wrong shows up later as a restatement, an audit finding, or a repriced deal.

Our clients bring us in for revenue recognition, leases, business combinations, stock compensation, debt and equity, and the readiness work that gets a company through its first audit and to the public markets. We do that work at the standard a PCAOB auditor and an institutional investor will apply, and we document it so it holds up when they look.

We are deliberately small and senior. The person who scopes your work stays involved in it, and senior people own the judgment and the review.

Founder & CEO, Corviniti · PCAOB & IPO Readiness Specialist

For over two decades, I have advised public and private companies on critical financial transitions, including initial public offerings, mergers, capital raises, and regulatory compliance. My background includes more than ten years at a Big Four accounting firm, where financial work is reviewed to the strictest standards in the profession.

I know how PCAOB audits are run for SEC-registered and pre-IPO companies, and I prepare companies to pass them: complex debt and equity, capital-market transactions, and the technical accounting that keeps SEC filings accurate and defensible. Crain’s New York Business named me a Notable Leader in Accounting, Tax and Audit.

How we work

Senior-led, three steps

A partner leads every engagement start to finish, with a focused team behind the work.

1

Intro call

A short call to understand where you are: pre-IPO, mid-transaction, or preparing for your next audit cycle.

2

Readiness assessment

We map the gap between where your reporting is today and where the SEC, the PCAOB, or your deal counterparty needs it to be.

3

Scoped engagement

We set the timeline and execute. A partner leads the engagement, with a focused team doing the work where it makes sense.

Client voices

What clients say

Corviniti got our books to an S-1 standard and stood behind every technical position when the auditors and the SEC pushed back. We filed on the timeline we set, not the one a late surprise would have forced on us.
Chief Financial OfficerPre-IPO technology company
Their review of our 10-K and 10-Q filings caught the issues before our auditors did. Senior, responsive, and genuinely fluent in public-company reporting. It is the review I now want before anything goes out.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Corviniti located?

We are headquartered in New York City, with offices in the San Francisco Bay Area and Miami, and we serve clients across the country, including foreign private issuers. Most work is done remotely, with on-site time when a transaction or audit calls for it.

Who will I actually work with?

A senior team, led by founder and CEO Ro Sokhi, CPA. The person who scopes your engagement stays involved in the work, and senior people own the judgment and the review.

What kinds of companies do you work with?

Startups and emerging growth companies through pre-IPO and public companies, typically with transactions in the $5 to 100 million range and market caps from roughly $20 to 400 million, across capital markets, private equity and venture capital, fintech and digital assets, technology and SaaS, life sciences, and industrial sectors.

How does an engagement start?

With a free consultation. We learn what you are working on, tell you plainly how we can help, and scope the work. A formal relationship begins only when we both sign an engagement letter that sets out the scope and fees.

Are you our auditor?

No. We are an advisory firm, not your auditor. We prepare the technical positions, financial statements, and controls that your independent auditor will test, and we support you through the audit. Keeping those roles separate is what protects auditor independence.
